SPOT is now active!

Dear members,

as you were informed via email, the Flying Club now owns a SPOT Satellite Messenger.

This unit is to be used in the Aircraft by EVERY pilot on EVERY flight. It is only to be removed in the event of a crash or when the plane is back at it’s home base in 100 Mile House.

You can track where the plane is via the link on the homepage called “SPOT C-GICT”.
The password is the same as the one for the use of the calendar.

After Airport Day 2008

Dear members,

it appears that Airport Appreciation Day 2008 was a very fun event for all of the participants as well as the helpers.

We had very positive comments for the Ping-Pong ball drops and Spot Landing contest.
Also, according to Gayle Christianson, we took in quite a bit of money to be divided between the three clubs that helped host this event. The exact amount is being calculated and will be emailed to everyone.

Thanks for all the help the volunteers provided!
